God Used Me

I got this idea of starting a blog from Felicia who suggested we do a newsletter like I did in Madagascar so that our friends and family could keep up with us. I loved the idea in theory but wasn't quite sold on it. Truth be told, the newsletters stressed me out. However, I loved blogging as a form of reflection. Of course, I was filled with questions and doubts like, "Would anyone want to read it? We just moved cross country, not abroad.", "Our life certainly isn't as exciting now as it was a few years ago when we were traveling the world.", "Do I even have anything of worth to say?". As He usually does, God answered my questions in an unexpected way. On New Year's Eve morning we went to church as a family at our new church home, Central Christian Church. Take This Slowly

Have you ever wondered if you were meant for something more? Have you ever laid in bed and thought that there might be something else out there that is waiting for you? All you have to do is find it. Reach out and take hold of what you are meant for.   Many times in our lives, Molly and I have asked the question: “what’s next?” We have found ourselves asking this questions for a myriad of reasons. We find our selves bored on a Sunday night: what’s next? We find out we are pregnant: what’s next? Ezra, our son, learns how to say no: what’s next?   Have you ever found yourself in our position, asking what’s next as soon as you reached the next thing? We have found that this question can be helpful at times (like when trying to plan for dinners for the week or anticipating that our baby might try to eat the screw driver on the floor) but it can also hinder our ability to see what God has placed right in front of us.   God is a God of the past.
